Shark(Suzuki XF650 Freewind)In preparation for Ryan starting school and me needing alternate transport it was either the bus...... Or a motor cycle, meet Shark a 1999 Suzuki XF650 Freewind recently migrated from Japan. The single cylinder duel carburetor feed multivalve multi firing point engine gives the expected dull thud when taking it quietly rising to a deep throaty growl when the throttle is given a nudge.
Yes I have taken this dual purpose off the road but judging on my experience with sand and deep loose gravel (far too exciting for a fella of my years) hard packed gravel roads and the odd ford is more suitable. Having said that the high clearance does come in handy when it gets a bit bumpy.
Finally why shark? You would have to ask Ryan as it is his name for the beast.
